白内障水晶体では、遷移金属が増加して混濁を生じることが喫煙と関係する1)(IV)。
喫煙量が白内障発生の危険度を上昇させている2,3,4,5,6)(IV)。喫煙を中止することは白内障発生のリスクを下げる7)(IV)。
